چکیده
ABSTRACT: Significant prevalence of antibiotic resistance in Salmonella has been observed, causing global concern that it may lead to more severe health effects. Bacteriophages have emerged as an alternative treatment tool for managing bacterial infections, garnishing new attention. This study aimed identify a typhimurium-specific phage from chicken farms. The verified the ability lytic SAL 10 stop growth bacteria. Furthermore, involved conducting series analyses verify their physical characteristics, such temperature, pH, and host range. Host ranges S. typhimurium isolated phages against various strains were analyzed. Our results indicated bacteriophages had narrow range activity. was stable at 37–50 °C pH 4–7. During first 4 h infection, inhibited growth. Following 24 incubation 37 °C, we determined titration be 103–108 PFU/mL all experiments. Moreover, morphological properties using transmission electron microscopy, belonged order Caudovirales family Siphoviridae. Results presented this research show can used successful antibiotics.

Isolation and Detection of Virulence factors of Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella enteritidis
Plasmids play an important role in the virulence and antibiotic resistance of Salmonella. Salmonella carry plasmids having different size and number. Plasmid profile analysis of single isolates of Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella enteritidis revealed the presence of 4- plasmid profiles. Salmonella serovars produce several Type III secretions including Sop-E and Sop –B. Soap E is detected b...
متن کاملIsolation and Characterization of Lytic Bacteriophages from Wastewater against Listeria monocytogenes
Background and Aims: In the current study, two bacteriophages were isolated from the wastewater sources and characterized by lytic activity against the Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes) bacterium. Materials and Methods: 50 wastewater samples were collected from the disposal sites. The phages were isolated from the treated samples using the double agar overlay method with L. monocytoge...
متن کاملCOMPARATIVE CHARACTERIZATION OF PORINS FROM SALMONELLA TYPHIO-901 AND SALMONELLA TYPHIMURIUM RA-30
Porins from Salmonella typhi 0-901 and Salmonella typhimurium Ra-30 were characterized and compared. The elution profile of porins from these salmonella species on Sepharose-48 and HPLC appear to be very similar. The findings were confirmed by the electrophoretic pattern which showed three types of porins, i.e. OmpC, OmpD and OmpF in both species. These porins appear to be similar, if not ...
متن کاملAn outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium phage
Salmonella sp. are important causes of foodborne illness, with restaurants and catered functions being commonly reported settings for outbreaks. In June 2005 an investigation commenced following reports of gastrointestinal illness in attendees at luncheons catered by an Adelaide café, as well as persons eating at the café itself. The investigation sought to determine the existence of an outbrea...
